St. Jude announces faculty appointments
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital officials announced the appointment of two internationally recognized physician–scientists to leadership positions.
Mitchell Weiss, MD, PhD, has been named chair of the St. Jude Department of Hematology. Weiss previously served as professor of pediatrics at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
Kim Nichols, MD, has been selected to launch the new Division of Hereditary Cancer Predisposition in the St. Jude Department of Oncology. Nichols previously directed the pediatric hereditary cancer predisposition program at CHOP. She also served as associate professor of pediatrics at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
