From international law firm Arnold & Porter LLP comes timely views on current regulatory and legislative topics that weigh on the minds of today’s physicians and health care executives.

Individual eligible professionals (EPs) who reported at least one Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) quality measure in 2013 via claims-based reports can now view the entire 2013 calendar year of data using the 2013 PQRS Interim Feedback Dashboard. Summary data is available to Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and individual detail is provided by National Provider Identifier (NPI). This data will allow EPs to monitor the status of their claims-based measures and measure group reporting.

The Dashboard is available through the Physician and Other Health Professionals Quality Reporting Portal with an IACS sign in.

CMS has provided a user guide containing information about accessing and interpreting the data provided in the interim feedback report.

The Dashboard does not provide the final data analysis for full-year reporting, or indicate 2013 PQRS incentive eligibility or subjectivity to the 2015 PQRS payment adjustment. For the 2013 reporting year, individual EPs who satisfactorily report three individual measures or one measures group will earn an incentive payment equal to 0.5% of their total allowed Medicare Part B fee-for-service changes for services provided in 2013. EPs will receive that consolidated incentive payment this year. In addition, EPs will avoid the 2015 downward payment adjustment of 1.5% on their 2015 Medicare Part B fee-for service-charges if they satisfactorily report at least one valid measure or measures group.

Data submitted for 2013 PQRS reporting via methods other than claims will be available for review this fall through the final PQRS feedback report or the Quality and Resource User Reports (QRURs) for the 2013 PQRS Group Practice Reporting Option (GPRO).
