Gut Talk with ‘convenience’: Healio podcast celebrates 5 years of having discussions on GI

This year the Healio podcast, Gut Talk, celebrates its 5th anniversary of diving deep into the world of gastroenterology with a range of experts from across the field covering topics that matter most to patients and physicians.

Gut Talk provides accurate and engaging content on breakthroughs in GI drugs, educational and digital therapeutic tools, nutrition and general health care. In each episode, hosts Sameer K. Berry, MD, and William D. Chey, MD, provide updates, research and insights from experts and patients. “The Gut Talk podcast offers a fantastic way for busy gastroenterology providers to obtain quick updates from the field at their convenience,” Robert Stott, editorial director at Healio, said. “Our hosts not only educate, but also entertain our listeners with stories and case studies from their own real-world experiences, as well as candid conversations with outspoken leaders in the gastroenterology field.”

He added: “I am exceptionally proud of what Gut Talk has accomplished over the last 5 years, now with more than 30 episodes and nearly 30,000 downloads. The success of the podcast speaks to the motto shared across Healio: We deliver the health care updates you need, when you need, in whatever format you want to receive it.”

As Healio marks this milestone, here are some of the latest podcast episodes you might have missed. They cover topics such as guiding patients to avoid overly restrictive diets, the significance of diversity in health care and tips for taking on leadership and mentoring roles in medicine.
