Healio Gastroenterology is excited to announce the nominees for its annual Disruptive Innovators Awards in gastroenterology and hepatology.
Individuals who changed the face of the specialty and pushed the status quo toward betterment of the field will be recognized during a live event at the ACG annual meeting.
In this video, awards ceremony co-hosts Edward V. Loftus Jr., MD, chief medical editor of Healio Gastroenterology, and Ugo Iroku, MD, MHS, co-founder of the Association for Black Gastroenterologist and Hepatologists, are joined by Amrita Sethi, MD, founder and president of Women in Endoscopy, as well as co-founders of Scrubs & Heels, Aline Charabaty, MD, AGAF, FACG, and Anita Afzali, MD, MPH, MHCM, FACG, AGAF, to publicly unveil the nominees in our nine categories: Lifetime Disruptor, Rising Disruptor, Clinical Innovation, Woman Disruptor of the Year, Healio Social Media Influencer, The Patient Voice, Health Equity Award, Allied Health Provider of the Year and Industry Breakthrough.
