MIAMI — In a Healio video exclusive, Maysaa El Zoghbi, MD, a gastroenterologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Massachusetts, shared why she attended the inaugural Scrubs & Heels Summit for women.
“The reason I came to this conference is to network with women in the field of gastroenterology,” El Zoghbi said, pointing out the importance of both mentoring and seeking support from fellow female physicians. “I'm glad that I met so many strong and accomplished women in the field, for example Dr. Aline Charabaty and Dr. Anita Afzali, who are doing great work.”
