Aasma Shaukat, MD, MPH, recently took on the role of director of outcomes research within the GI division at NYU Langone. This is a culmination of the work she has done throughout her career on colorectal cancer screening and prevention.
Through her long-term work with the Department of Veterans Affairs and her future work in underserved communities, Shaukat works to break down barriers to care. Additionally, she worked tirelessly on the updated ACG clinical guidelines for CRC screening released this year.
