Healio Disruptive Innovators ‘On the Rise’ at ACG
During this year’s American College of Gastroenterology Annual Meeting in San Antonio, I had the honor of hosting the second annual Healio Disruptive Innovators Awards.
This ceremony honored Disruptive Innovators in seven different categories, with each awardee changing the face of gastroenterology and pushing the status quo toward the betterment of the field.
These awards were brought to us from Healio Gastroenterology and Liver Disease, another disruptive innovator in gastroenterology. The first publication to enter the market in decades, Healio uses a Peer Tested concept to deliver in print what our peers are reading online. The publication editors use analytics, data, and social media to give us – the practicing physicians – what’s trending. It’s quick, easy-to-read and perfect for the busy physician.

Healio used this disruptive lens to assess the people leading the change in gastroenterology. From social media chats to food-as-medicine, these Healio Disruptive Innovators are the ultimate in Peer Tested.
We at Healio also believe the Healio Disruptive Innovators represent the revolutionary mindset of Healio Gastroenterology and Liver Disease, which disrupted our absorption of information.
You can read the Peer Tested meeting content here and see event coverage along with the winners of the Healio Disruptive Innovators Awards here.
You can even see some tweets from our attendees here.
