Healio to host inaugural Disruptive Innovators Award Reception

PHILADELPHIA – Healio will be hosting their Inaugural Disruptive Innovators Award Reception during the American College of Gastroenterology’s Annual Scientific Meeting (ACG 2018) on October 7, 2018, at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.

Each of the awardees will have changed the face of gastroenterology and pushed the status quo toward the betterment of the field. “By definition, disruptive innovation requires us to consider how these people, institutions and technologies started from the fringe of practice and moved into exemplary roles,” Edward V. Loftus Jr., MD, Healio Gastroenterology and Liver Disease Chief Medical Editor, said. “We believe the Healio Disruptive Innovators represent the revolutionary mindset of ACG’s current host city, Philadelphia, and have in fact revolutionized their corner of gastroenterology.”
