Fujifilm introduces new video endoscopy system at ACG 2017
ORLANDO – Fujifilm Medical Systems introduced its next-generation endoscopic video system, Eluxeo, for enhanced visualization of mucosal surfaces in the gastrointestinal tract, at the World Congress of Gastroenterology at ACG 2017.
Using four LED multi-light technology, which includes white light, blue light imaging (BLI) and linked color imaging (LCI), Eluxeo will achieve optimal results in illumination, according to a press release. BLI emits a high intensity ratio of blue-violet light to contrast imaging of microvessels, while LCI intensifies differences in red coloration to enhance mucosal visualization. The scope button on the device allows observation modes to switch between white light, BLI and LCI views, per the release.
Fujifilm will display its latest GI endoscopic submucosal dissection innovations at the meeting as well, including the company’s ClutchCutter, FlushKnife, ST Hood Short Type, double balloon endoscope, 600 series endoscopes and ultrasonic video endoscopes.
“Fujifilm continues to push the boundaries of innovation through the development of our Eluxeo platform,” Keiichi Nagata, division president of Fujifilm Medical Systems U.S.A – Endoscopy, said in the release. “Providing physicians with the tools they need to enhance results, Eluxeo fulfills the need for enhanced visualization in endoscopy.”
