Adults with classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia who received a once-daily, nonsteroidal oral therapy for 12 weeks experienced significant reductions in androgen levels with no serious adverse events, according to findings from a phase 2a study.
Cushing’s syndrome treatment improves urinary free cortisol, CV risk markers
The steroidogenesis inhibitor levoketoconazole was effective in reducing and normalizing morning urinary free cortisol concentrations and biomarkers of cardiovascular risk among a large cohort of adults with endogenous Cushing’s syndrome, as well as improving clinical signs of the disease and quality of life measures, according to findings published in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology.

Five variables predict postoperative BP normalization in primary aldosteronism
A new predictive model based on Japanese registry data revealed several variables that can predict the normalization of blood pressure after adrenalectomy for primary aldosteronism, including hypertension duration, BMI, number of BP drug prescriptions, diabetes status and sex, according to findings published in the Journal of the Endocrine Society.
