CHICAGO — In this video exclusive, Maria Fleseriu, MD, professor of neurological surgery and professor of medicine in the division of endocrinology, diabetes and clinical nutrition in the School of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University and director of the OHSU Northwest Pituitary Center, reviews research on acromegaly presented at the Endocrine Society Annual Meeting.

Highlights include an oral therapy in phase 1 development, longer-term data of combination therapies, a meta-analysis of surgical treatment for small prolactinomas and discussions of improving quality of life as well as morbidity and mortality in patients who have biochemical control.
