The new wireless glucose monitoring system from iHealth Lab is now available at mass retailers such as Best Buy.

“There is a strong relationship between diabetes and heart disease, so measuring, recording and tracking all your vitals from weight and BMI, to blood pressure, to blood glucose levels, is becoming increasingly important,” Adam Lin, president of iHealth Lab, said in a press release. “We are focused on helping individuals lead healthier lives by delivering a full suite of connected mobile health devices that makes it simple for users to take an active role in managing their health and wellness.”

In conjunction with the free application, the Wireless Smart Gluco-Monitoring System automatically measures glucose and sends those measurements to a smartphone or tablet, according to the press release. It allows the tracking of trends, setting up of reminders to take medications and manage expiration dates for test strips.

The system is available at Best Buy, in store and online, and through the iHealth website.
