American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists 19th Annual Meeting

BOSTON — The quarterly magazine, Power of Prevention, will be distributed to any patient at his or her endocrinologist's office, to keep them current on the latest endocrinology news, according to the publication's editor.

Donald A. Bergman, MD, FACE, executive editor of Power of Prevention, discussed the magazine on behalf of The American College of Endocrinology, during the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists press conference here.

"ACE's function is to keep our endocrinologists well-informed. And the Power of Prevention program functions to keep our patients well-informed. So we are a direct portal, a direct conduit to the patients, telling them about all the exciting developments in many fields," said Bergman, an Endocrine Today Editorial Board member.

A subsequent press release noted that the magazine will be distributed for free to about 500,000 patients with diabetes.

The focus of the special edition available at AACE annual meeting was diabetes and was made possible through a grant from Novo Nordisk.
