VIDEO: Incorporating new topical treatments into pediatric, adolescent psoriasis care

In this Healio exclusive video, Lawrence F. Eichenfield, MD, talks about takeaways in updates on topical treatments for pediatric and adolescent psoriasis discussed at Maui Derm 2025.

“There’s a fair amount happening in the psoriasis field, and I think Maui Derm had some great sessions on psoriasis,” Eichenfield, who is chief of pediatric and adolescent dermatology at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and vice-chair of the department of dermatology at University of California, San Diego, told Healio.

Eichenfield, who also serves as a member of the Healio Dermatology Peer Perspective Board, specifically discussed psoriasis advancements in pediatric and adolescent patients.

“I think there’s some exciting work as we incorporate newer medicines and those coming down the line into clinical practice,” he said.
