In this Healio exclusive video, Raj Chovatiya, MD, PhD, discussed research into the topical AhR modulator tapinarof from the Maui Derm 2024 meeting.

Chovatiya, assistant professor of dermatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, discussed a study examining the use of tapinarof (Vtama, Dermavant) in treating patients with mild to severe intertriginous plaque psoriasis.

“What the study showed is that, indeed, independent of whether you have psoriasis on the elbows or knees, if you have it in these skinfold areas, you can get very similar efficacy, both in terms of symptomatic improvement and improvement of skin signs,” Chovatiya said.
