Zerigo Health has appointed Lisa Rometty as its new CEO, according to a company release.

After most recently serving as president of CVS Kidney Care, Rometty brings more than 25 years of experience in health care technology and services to her new role at Zerigo Health, a digital health platform for the home treatment of chronic skin conditions.

“Lisa’s go-to-market experience and success building home health ecosystems for consumers living with chronic conditions will be instrumental in scaling Zerigo,” Glen Tullman, executive chairman of Zerigo Health, CEO of Transcarent and managing partner at 7wireVentures, said in the release. “The market is searching for cost-effective alternatives to expensive biologics, and we are excited to have Lisa driving our mission to empower people living with chronic skin conditions with convenient, affordable and personalized care.”

In her role as president of CVS Kidney Care, Rometty led the development of a kidney disease identification, management and treatment system. Rometty also served as president of global client solutions at Syneos Health, leading strategies for expanding the company’s global commercial partnerships.

“I am excited to join the Zerigo Health team at such an important time in the company’s development. People living with chronic skin conditions deserve to have more convenient and effective treatment options that give them the freedom to get back to life,” Rometty said. “We have a significant opportunity to make the home the preferred site of care for consumers and to create outsized value throughout the health care ecosystem.”
