In this video, Yemi Sokumbi, MD, discusses session highlights from the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting.
Sokumbi, associate medical director in the department of business development at the Mayo Clinic Florida and associate professor and senior associate consultant in the departments of dermatology and laboratory medicine and pathology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida, called attention to medical associations, advanced management strategies and therapy options for hidradenitis suppurativa.
“We had a really robust and outstanding cohort of presentations that allows us as dermatologists to feel equipped to take care of these patients, but while giving us information of what’s to come [and] what’s on the horizon to take care of patients with this very complicated and challenging medical disease,” she said.
