In this video, Christopher Sayed, MD, highlighted a presentation from the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting that focused on improving the experience of patients with hidradenitis suppurativa when they enter dermatology offices.

Sayed, associate professor at University of North Carolina School of Dermatology and board member of the HS Foundation, noted ways to make patients with HS more comfortable including intake forms specifically for HS and using education to “[break] down some of the myths about [HS] being contagious or related to hygiene.”
