Sientra, Silimed reach settlement on litigation on breast implant manufacturing

A settlement agreement was reached between Sientra Inc., a medical aesthetics corporation, and Silimed-Indústria de Implantes Ltda., the former contracted breast implant manufacturer for Sientra, according to a statement today.

The comprehensive agreement surrounds mutual IP ownership and contract disputes between the two countries. The two parties reached a resolution of all claims filed against each other. An executive at Sientra said that the company could now move forward unencumbered. – by Rob Volansky
