Sensus Healthcare announced financial results of the first quarter of 2017, including revenues of $4.4 million, a 43.5% increase from $3 million in the first quarter of 2016.
“We had an excellent first quarter as our revenues reflected continued sales momentum and growing acceptance of [superficial radiation therapy] for the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer and keloid scars,” Joe Sardano, chairman and CEO of Sensus Healthcare, stated in a news release.
The medical device company reported that the revenue increase was primarily the result of its SRT-100 Vision, which has a higher average selling price.
Gross profit also was up for the first quarter of 2017, at $2.9 million, or 65.6% of revenue, compared with $1.9 million or $63.7 of revenue for the first quarter of 2016, according to the release.
