Valeant makes VP appointments to dermatology, corporate teams

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International announced it has appointed Michael McMyne as vice president of sales and Stacey Williams as vice president of marketing on its dermatology leadership team.

McMyne, who most recently served as vice president of operations for Merz North America, will be responsible for the dermatology sales force, according to a news release from Valeant.  

Williams, who most recently served as senior marketing director for Merz North America, will oversee Valeant’s marketing strategy and execution of the dermatology organization, the company reported.

"Michael and Stacey each have a proven track record of results, execution and strategic agility within specialty pharmaceuticals and more specifically, the specialty of dermatology," Bill Humphries, executive vice president and company group chairman, Valeant Dermatology, stated in the release.

Valeant also announced that Lainie Keller has been appointed vice president of corporate communications.

Keller previously worked for 10 years at Merck & Co., having most recently served as a director of corporate media relations. In her newly created role at Valeant, she will be responsible for external corporate communications and media relations strategies, according to the release.
