LEO Pharma names dermatologist to vice president position

LEO Pharma announced it has named Judit H. Nyirady, MD, MBA, as vice president of medical strategy and scientific affairs.

Nyirady, a board-certified dermatologist, has more than 18 years of pharmaceutical experience in clinical research and development. She previously worked at Novartis as interim medical unit head of dermatology and immunology, U.S. clinical development and medical affairs, and concurrently as executive director, dermatology, U.S. clinical development and medical affairs, according to a news release from LEO Pharma.

Responsibilities in her new position will include medical and scientific affairs strategies for LEO Pharma in the United States and U.S. quality, pharmacovigilance, drug safety and medical information functions, according to the release.

Prior to working at Novartis, Nyirady worked at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Worldwide as director of medical affairs, dermatology.

Nyirady holds a master’s degree from Cornell University, Johnson Graduate School of Management, and received her medical degree from Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical University, Hungary, according to the release.
