Medifirst Solutions announced it has agreed to acquire the exclusive licensing rights from Laser Lab Corp for its Green Laser for use in anti-aging and aesthetic procedures.

The company plans to file for FDA clearance for the Green Laser before the end of the year, after the completion of a definitive agreement, according to a news release.

The Green Laser was designed to gently restore and lightly resurface the tissue of the skin, and was successfully used on skin spots, wrinkles, acne, hyper-pigmentation, scars, skin detoxification, stretch marks and cellulite during institutional review board studies, according to the release.

The global market for aesthetic medical laser systems is forecast to reach $8 billion to $10 billion by 2020, Medifirst reported.

“Aesthetic lasers are the Holy Grail of the laser industry, considering the strength of the anti-aging and minimally invasive cosmetic industry,” Bruce J. Schoengood, Medifirst president, stated in the release. “The Green Laser … provides a mobile, easy-to-use and affordable solution for health care professionals seeking to enter the laser market."
