TopMD appoints dermatologist to board of directors

TopMD announced that Jerald Sklar, MD, has been appointed to its board of directors.

Sklar is a dermatologist in private practice in Dallas, and serves as the team dermatologist for the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks.

TopMD is the parent company of CLn Skin Care, which includes cleansers preserved with sodium hypochlorite used for treating symptoms related to atopic dermatitis, according to a news release.

“Dr. Sklar’s extensive experience in dermatology, especially with compromised skin issues like eczema, folliculitis and acne, will prove to be invaluable to our company moving forward,” Azam Anwar, MD, founder of TopMD, stated in the release. “His work, especially with athletes who experience hard to treat dermatologic conditions, will aid in our ability to understand and help individuals who need CLn.”

“One of the reasons I was drawn to CLn were the antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory products of the product line, resulting in efficacy for my patients suffering from common skin conditions – everything from eczema to infections to acne,” Sklar stated in the release.
