Pan-facial fat injection may be feasible for facial contouring

Using pan-facial fat injection for facial contouring, as opposed to rejuvenation, may be safe and feasible.

The researchers wrote that this approach is frequently used among young Asian patients, but that no single method has yielded consistent outcomes.

In the current method, the researchers classified the injection area into two types of zones: functional and transition. They studied 105 cases of this method retrospectively for a 6-year period.

The follow-up duration was 6 to 47 months, according to the results.

Ninety-six percent of the cohort reported satisfactory results, prompting the researchers to conclude that the method is safe, without complications and easy for clinicians to learn. – by Rob Volansky
