ORLANDO, Fla. — In a video perspective from the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting, Amy J. McMichael, MD, FAAD, discusses seborrheic dermatitis and hair fragility in African-American women.

McMichael, a professor and chair of dermatology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, told Healio.com/Dermatology that seborrheic dermatitis is linked to itching and manipulation of hair, which leads to hair breakage. She recommends treatment includes anti-inflammatory corticosteroids.
