VIDEO: New uses for fillers and botulinum toxins

ORLANDO, Fla. — In a video perspective from the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting, Dee Anna Glaser, MD, FAAD, discusses new uses for fillers and botulinum toxins.

Glaser, professor and interim chair of the Department of Dermatology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, discussed new fillers and indications, including Juvéderm Volbella XC (hyaluronic acid, Allergan), Resytlane Defyne (hyaluronic acid, Galderma) and Restylane Refyne (hyaluronic acid, Galderma), which are fillers that “make us look natural.”

She also discussed using botulinum toxins “in a way that’s very natural and not overdone.”

She said that dermatologists are stressing safety in using the products for minimal side effects.
