Pearlman, MD, FACS, discussed the importance of understanding the common, dominant features that are defined as attractive for either female or male patients to achieve satisfying cosmetic treatment results. It is also important to avoid exaggerating those features and to balance the natural ratios of the face rather than attempt to create “perfect symmetry,” which can lead to unnatural and unsatisfying results.
