ASDS presents President's Award to four members

Naomi Lawrence, MD, immediate past president of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, presented the President’s Award to four ASDS members at the society’s annual meeting in New Orleans.
Murad Alam, MD, MBA, of Chicago; William P. Coleman III, MD, of Metairie, Louisiana; Anthony M. Rossi, MD, of Staten Island, New York; and Henry H. Roenigk, MD, of Scottsdale, Arizona, received the award from Lawrence as part of her final duty as ASDS president. Mary Madden of Fort Worth, Texas, also was an award recipient, according to a press release from ASDS.
Alam, vice chair of the dermatology department at Northwestern University, where he also serves as a professor of dermatology, otolaryngology and section chief of cutaneous and aesthetic surgery, was recognized for advancing the specialty and the goals of ASDA and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Association.
Coleman, who serves on the cosmetic surgery faculty at Tulane Heath Science Center and is founder of the Coleman Center for Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery in Metairie, Louisiana, was honored for his contributions to ASDS, including serving as editor-in-chief of Dermatologic Surgery and ex-officio member of the ASDS board of directors.
Rossi specializes in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, reconstructive surgery, cosmetic dermatologic surgery and medical dermatology. He practices at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and is an assistant professor of dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College. He serves as ASDS young physician representative to the American Medical Association.
Roenigk is former chairman of dermatology at Northwestern University and the Cleveland Clinic, and a past president of ASDS.
Madden, associate director of professional relations at Galderma, serves on the ASDS Industry Advisory Council, according to the press release.
