LOS ANGELES — David H. Song, MD, MBA, president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, gives an overview of this year’s Plastic Surgery The Meeting.

The ASPS annual meeting presents the “latest and greatest advances in plastic surgery on both the aesthetic side and the reconstructive side,” Song told Healio.com/Aesthetics.

This year’s meeting has a parallel track for consumers, the ASPSX Expo, where consumers will learn about technologies in plastic surgery and see a live filler demonstration.

“On the scientific side, we have great advances in transplantation that are being presented [and] in burn reconstructive surgery,” Song said.
