BioPharmX CEO resigns, board appoints independent director as chairman
BioPharmX Corp. announced in a press release that James Pekarsky, the company’s CEO, chairman and treasurer, has resigned.
Anja Krammer, president, co-founder and director of BioPharmX, will continue to manage the specialty pharmaceutical company that develops products for dermatology and women’s health markets, according to the release. Greg Kitchner, CFO, will take over the treasurer responsibilities. Michael Hubbard, an independent director, was appointed by the board as chairman.
“The board appreciates Jim’s role in launching BioPharmX and his leadership in bringing the company to where it is today,” Hubbard stated in the release. “We are confident in Anja’s continued leadership and the company’s strategic direction as we bring novel new products to grow the company’s focus on dermatology.”
