The Corrona Psoriasis Registry approaches 1-year anniversary of first patient enrollment
The largest independent US psoriasis registry, The Corrona Psoriasis Registry, announced the 1-year anniversary of enrolling its first patient is approaching in April, according to a press release
The National Psoriasis Foundation and Corrona LLC, collaborated to form the registry for the advancement and improvement of medical research and patient care.
Within less than a year, it has enrolled 1,000 patients from 100 sites for 6-month routine visit assessment and to complete a comprehensive questionnaire. The routine visits will span an 8-year period and researchers will use the collected information to compare the efficacy and safety of psoriasis treatments, study diseases linked to psoriasis and better comprehend the natural history of psoriasis.
“We are honored to have the commitment and active participation of 100 dermatology practices across the United States. The contribution by dermatologists collecting data will allow us to study comparative effectiveness and safety of newly approved therapies for their patients with psoriasis,” chief scientific officer of Corrona LLC, Jeffrey Greenberg, MD, said in the release.
Corrona LLC, anticipates more than 200 dermatology sites to be added to their site network in the near future.
