VIDEO: How dermatologists can implement teledermatology into their practice

WASHINGTON — In a video perspective from the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting, Carrie Kovarik, MD, FAAD, discusses how dermatologists can build teledermatology into their practice.

Kovarik, an associate professor of dermatology, dermatopathology and infectious disease at the University of Pennsylvania, reviewed a session on helping the dermatologist understand “the rapidly expanding environment of teledermatology,” which includes legislation, the changing environment in health care standards and the work flow that can be built into a practice.
