Bionect low molecular weight hyaluronic acid made available in foam formula

Prescription topical Bionect is available in the United States in a foam formula that will hold its shape until application, according to a press release from Cipher Pharmaceuticals.

Bionect Foam features low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and has the moisturizing and healing properties of Bionect cream and gel, according to the release. The non-steroidal foam is well-suited for dressing and managing dermal ulcers, wounds, post-operative incisions, first- and second-degree burns and skin irritations, the release reported.

The foam option allows dermatologists and patients to treat hard-to-reach locations including hair-bearing areas, the release reported.

“Bionect as a foam, coupled with the benefits of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, gives dermatologists better access to more of the skin’s surface,” Charles F. Jenkins, vice president of marketing, Cipher US, stated in the release.
