Alphaeon Corp. announced the launch of ShoutMD 3.0, a new release of a professional and social network that allows board-certified physician specialists to share insights and collaborate with peers, according to the press release.

The new version allows physicians to rate and review, request a demo of or to purchase lifestyle health care products, according to the release. There are more than 4,500 board-certified physician specialists members in dermatology, aesthetic plastic surgery, refractive ophthalmology, cosmetic dentistry and orthopedics in the United States who are members of ShoutMD, the release reported.

“ShoutMD provides a forum where board-certified physician specialists can gain greater knowledge of available products and serves and benefit from candid and uncensored reviews,” Robert E. Grant, CEO of Alphaeon, said in the release.

Members of ShoutMD have performed more than one million activities in the past year on the site, according to the release.  Along with the social commerce store launch, the new version includes a new design and enhanced content, the release stated.

“ShoutMD … has become the place where core physicians can connect in an unbiased and welcoming manner to get advice, start discussion and express themselves both medically and personally,” Jeffrey Joseph, MD, a board-certified oculoplastic surgeon, said in the release. “ShoutMD has become part of my daily practice. I am looking forward to the extension of this collaboration into the Shout Store.”
