The FDA announced that it will hold a public meeting on Sept. 10 to receive input regarding the regulation of cosmetics to help the agency prepare for the International Cooperation on Cosmetics Regulation-9, which will take place Nov. 4-6 in Brussels.

The FDA encourages the public to present proposals for future ICCR agenda items, data, information or views on pending issues orally or in writing at the public meeting.

Cosmetic authorities from the United States, Japan, Canada, the European Union and Brazil make up the ICCR, which works towards the convergence of cosmetic regulations and practices.

The FDA public meeting will take place at the Harvey H. Wiley Federal Building, 5100 Paint Branch Parkway, Auditorium (first floor), College Park, Md., from 2-4 p.m. Registration information is available in the Federal Register Notice.
