Detroit dermatologist elected president of American Academy of Dermatology

Henry Lim, MD, chair of the Department of Dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, has been elected president of the American Academy of Dermatology for a 1-year term that will begin in 2017.

Lim will serve 1 year as president-elect of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) beginning in March 2016 and will assume the presidency in March 2017, according to a press release.

Lim, who is board-certified in dermatology, received his medical degree from State University of New York in Brooklyn and completed dermatology training at New York University of Medicine.

An internationally recognized dermatology expert, Lim’s interests include vitiligo, phototherapy, photosensitivity, photoprotection and psoriasis, according to the release.
