MONTREAL — At the Aesthetic Meeting 2015, Foad Nahai, MD, FACS, accepted the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation Career Achievement award.

Nahai is the Editor-in-Chief of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. He also has co-authored ten books and has published over 190 scientific articles on many areas within plastic surgery.

He is the past president of both the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

At the reception, Sanjay Grover, MD, FACS, said on behalf of Nahai, “He is always a gentleman, always a mentor. He has been a servant to all of us, to the specialty and the society. Not only as an educator, but as its president.”

“I consider him my teacher and a friend,” Clyde Ishii, MD, FACS, expressed his admiration for Nahai. “You spoiled it for the rest of us because we could never measure up.”

“Of all of the awards I’ve been given over the years, this really means the most to me. It means so much to have my friends, colleagues and family here. I learn so much from all of you, even more than you have said to have learned from me,” Nahai remarked as he accepted the award.-by Abigail Sutton
