BAPRAS launches Think Over Before You Make Over awareness initiative

The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons has launched a new campaign to emphasize the importance of making informed decisions about cosmetic surgery.

The Think Over Before You Make Over campaign was created on the heels of a survey by the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) that found 24% of the 2 million people considering cosmetic surgery did not plan to check their surgeons’ credentials beforehand, according to a press release.

The campaign includes free guides from some of the U.K.’s most-experienced plastic surgeons to help consumers assess whether surgery is the right choice, the release stated.

The BAPRAS encourages practitioners to show their support by displaying the campaign logo on their websites and in their offices.
