CHICAGO -- Elizabeth Tanzi, MD, a dermatologist at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery, Washington, DC, reported on laser skin resurfacing at the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery annual meeting.
Her presentation focused on lasers in combination with other treatments for the aging face and the expanded use of lasers for treating scars, including work being done for wounded warriors and their burn scars.
"It is very important for me, as a dermatologist, to make sure my other medical colleagues realize that there really are some wonderful treatments for scars using laser that can affect people's lives," Tanzi told Healio.com.
