Dynatronics appoints Richard J. Linder to board of directors

Dynatronics Corporation recently announced Richard J. Linder was appointed to the company’s board of directors, effective March 23, to fill the vacancy created by the death of former member, Joseph Barton.

Linder began his career in the medical device industry in 1991 at Merit Medical Systems. He co-founded Rubicon Medical and served as its president and CEO, eventually taking the company public, according to a press release. Boston Scientific acquired Rubicon Medical in 2005, and Linder continued working with the company until becoming president/CEO and director of Coherex Medical in 2006.

He holds numerous U.S. and international patents and pending-patent applications for medical technologies in the treatment of coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular interventions and other conditions, according to the press release.

Linder will serve the remainder of Barton’s term, and at the next annual meeting of the shareholders, he will be included on the slate for re-elections to the board.
