NuGene adds Bucay, Kobayashi to advisory board

NuGene International has announced the addition of Vivian Bucay, MD, and Mark Kobasyashi, MD, who specialize in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation and aesthetic surgery, to its advisory board.

Bucay is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and serves as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, according to a NuGene press release.

She is recognized nationally for her expertise in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation through neuromodulators, injectable dermal filler and skin resurfacing. She has also been featured as a skin expert in several publications including Allure, Cosmetic Surgery Times, Elle, More, Shape, Prevention, and Good Housekeeping.

Bucay is a frequent keynote speaker on various topics such as innovations in facial aesthetics, neuromodulators and cancer survival, the release stated.

Kobasyashi is an associate clinical professor of surgery at the Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery Institute of the University of California, Irvine. He specializes in aesthetic surgery and all areas of plastic surgery, including reconstructive and microvascular surgery. Kobasyashi’s microsurgical expertise was used to reconstruct a breast following cancer using free tissue transfer, according the press release.
