L’Oréal launches International Awards for Social Responsibility in Dermatology

L’Oréal has announced the launch of its International Awards for Social Responsibility in Dermatology, “Caring to Inspire Skin Clearance,” according to a press release.

As patients with dermatological conditions frequently face discrimination and feel socially excluded, the prizes will be geared toward voluntary dermatological initiatives by individuals, associations or hospitals, elevating patient care with the purpose of improving confidence and encouraging social inclusion.

Financial grants will be awarded per major geographical zone (Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East, Europe, North America and South America) in three main categories: prevention and education, improved quality of life and self-esteem, and access to care.

Dermatologists are eligible to apply individually or on behalf of an association or hospital, according to the press release.

The awards are supported by the International League of Dermatological Societies and by the 23rd World Congress of Dermatology, and the award ceremony will be held at the World Congress in Vancouver on June 9, 2015.

Applications are being held from now until March 6, 2015. For further details, visit www.inspireskinconfidence.com.
