Coronado Biosciences announced it has formed the wholly owned subsidiary, Journey Medical Corporation, to acquire and license dermatology products.

Journey Medical seeks to build a portfolio of dermatological assets focused on acne, steroid responsive dermatoses, pigmentation and antifungals, according to a company press release.

Claude Maraoui will lead the corporation as CEO. Maraoui has more than 25 years of experience in commercializing dermatology products and has served in various positions at Medicis Pharmaceutical Corporation, including vice president of dermatology sales, executive director of aesthetics sales, group brand leader for aesthetics and senior product manager, among others.
