Dermatologic & Aesthetic Surgery International League, ASDS join forces on mentoring programs
The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the Dermatologic & Aesthetic Surgery International League have announced they will collaborate on two international mentoring programs.
“Since our inaugural meeting in Malta in 2012, our charge has been to offer top-notch educational programs in dermatologic and aesthetic surgery around the planet, and to foster growth of the dermatologic surgery specialty around the world,” Sheldon V. Pollack, MD, Dermatologic & Aesthetic Surgery International League (DASIL) president, said in a press release. “This new partnership helps both organizations fulfill key goals.”
The organizations will work together on the International Traveling Mentorship Program and the International Preceptorship Program. The ASDS international programs are supported by the Lawrence Field, MD, International Dermatologic Surgery Educational Exchange Fund.
“We welcome programs that help bring new techniques and procedures in the field to countries around the world,” Pollack said.
DASIL also will cosponsor Dermatologic Surgery, the official journal of ASDS, American College of Mohs Surgery and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, according to the release.
