The Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis and ePharmaSolutions have announced a partnership to create online learning courses for psoriasis and psoriatric arthritis research and development.

“Our members are enthusiastic about sharing their expertise in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis with the research industry, and the ePharmaSolutions platform enables us to deliver this knowledge efficiently to clinicians around the world,” Pam Love, executive director of the Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (GRAPPA) said in a press release.

Through the ePharmaSolutions eClinical platform, GRAPPA “is able to offer training designed to standardize the use of the rating scales for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, improving reliability in research trials in a cost-effective manner,” the release said.

GRAPPA is organized for nonprofit, educational and scientific purposes and has more than 450 members including rheumatologists, dermatologists and radiologists, along with biopharmaceutical industry representatives.

“With growing interest from regulators about training of psoriasis assessments, standardizing the approach to their use and training clinicians about them is vital to clinical research success,” Kristina Callis Duffin, MD, assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Utah and a GRAPPA board member, said in the release.

“Offering cloud-based online solutions that can be accessed easily and globally extend our expertise deeply into dermatology and rheumatology for endpoint reliability certifications,” Lance Converse, founder and chief executive officer of ePharmaSolutions, said in the release.
