Aquavit Pharmaceuticals names Goldberg chief medical officer

Aquavit Pharmaceuticals has appointed dermatologist David J. Goldberg, MD, JD, its chief medical officer.

Goldberg, who has practiced since 1985, has been recognized for his work with skin lasers, cosmetic dermatology and facial rejuvenation techniques, according to a company press release. He is a clinical professor of dermatology and director of laser research at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, a clinical professor of dermatology and chief of dermatologic surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, chief of dermatology at Hackensack University Medical Center and an adjunct professor of law at Fordham Law School.

Goldberg has authored books on laser hair removal, cellulite and fat removal, acne and rosacea, ablative and nonablative skin rejuvenation, photodamaged skin, complications in cutaneous laser surgery, laser dermatology and dermal fillers, according to the release. He has served as president of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery and on the boards of ASLMS, American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is editor in chief of the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy.
