The FDA has granted approval for an abbreviated new drug application for fluticasone propionate lotion, 0.05%, the generic equivalent to Cutivate Lotion, 0.05%, manufacturer Perrigo Co. announced.
Fluticasone propionate lotion is indicated for relief of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations caused by atopic dermatitis in patients aged 1 year or older, according to a press release. Perrigo announced that shipment of its product will begin immediately.
PharmaDerm manufactures Cutivate Lotion.
