Cardiometabolic Health Congress will once again welcome valued media partner Healio to the upcoming Women’s Cardiometabolic Health and Wellness Masterclass.

This interactive educational experience will feature engaging conversations, evidence-based presentations and clinical insights from renowned experts. The meeting will also provide ample opportunities to connect and network with leading experts in the field. Healio’s provider audience is encouraged to attend the retreat-style, interactive conference where providers will gather for the latest strategies for treating their women patients throughout their lifespans.

In 2023, the wellness-inspired masterclass will once again be led by co-chairs Erin D. Michos, MD, MHS, and Pam R. Taub, MD, but will be held at a new venue in Southern California: the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa. Harnessing the Laguna Cliff's rustic coastal landscape, attendees will be encouraged to connect with themselves and nature through several guided wellness activities and outdoor Zumba and yoga sessions.

Education will focus on CV health from pregnancy through menopause; long-term obesity management; misconceptions about hypertension, dyslipidemia and chronic kidney disease in women; improving sex-specific outcomes in heart failure; addressing provider wellness, equity and burnout; and practice-delivery improvement strategies.

Erin D. Michos

“As a women's cardiovascular health leader specializing in lipidology, I know firsthand that women’s cardiovascular and cardiometabolic care must be approached with unique tools and strategies. Not only can women present differently than men for things like cardiovascular disease and have unique consideration for managing dyslipidemia, but they’ll also need focused and evolving care throughout their lifespans from adolescence through childbearing years, into menopause and beyond,” Michos, the Women’s Cardiometabolic Health and Wellness Masterclass co-chair and associate professor of medicine and director of Women's Cardiovascular Health at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, said in the press release.

Amanda Jamrogiewicz, CHCP, CMHC's general manager, said the organization is pleased to continue its longtime and valued partnership with Healio for the 2023 Women's Cardiometabolic Health and Wellness Masterclass. “This Aug. 17-20, 2023, we will again welcome Healio's delegates to the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa for this women-led experience," Jamrogiewicz said in the press release. She added that Healio is esteemed for expertly disseminating the conference's clinical insights to its large audience through session summaries and on-site interviews published on Healio.com.

Because the Women's Cardiometabolic Health and Wellness Masterclass is fast approaching, CMHC and Healio encourage providers interested in attending to register as soon as possible to reserve their seats.

Healio is an official media partner of the CMHC Women’s Cardiometabolic Health and Wellness Masterclass.
