VIDEO: HRX addressed ‘the future of the way we practice medicine’
In this Healio video exclusive, Jagmeet Singh, MD, DPhil, the co-producer of the Heart Rhythm Society’s inaugural HRX meeting on digital health advancements, discusses how the event encouraged discussion of the future of health care.
The meeting featured “a variety of discussion formats where people could come together, talk about the potential problems, discuss the barriers and the challenges and eventually seek out solutions,” said Singh, founding director of the Resynchronization and Advanced Cardiac Therapeutics Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital, professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and a member of the Cardiology Today Editorial Board.
“We know that the future of the way we practice medicine is going to be an integration of digital care, sensors and artificial intelligence,” he said. “The conference [addressed] each of these components ... and the integration of them into chronic disease management platforms was discussed at length.”
